Mario’s Project

«I’d like to go up in the air»

Or relativity theory.

All is relative depending on something to be put down. Or someone.
Music is very subtle matter but it is simple though. There are only seven notes.
There are only seven notes but different means to sound. There are two ways: thanks to voice and hands. A control center is in a head. Rehashes, plagiarisms, analogies, component permutation, combinations and variations… But what’s about sense of sounding notes? Does it change? A little. Does it mean that there is nothing new in a world of music and muses? Or maybe all new things are well-forgotten old ones. So should we circle again: rehashes, plagiarisms, analogies, component permutation, combinations and variations?
Your answer is affirmative if music is only craft for you. And the answer is negative if music makes your life, if you live by music and if music is the only means of communication. Are there any representatives of such Homo sapiens in our country? Or maybe Music and musician mutated and today from black boxes of TV, radio and the depth of internet we receive something like amphibian-man: seven notes plus competent marketing. No, no genetics! All is not so bad it the world of homo sapiens.

WMM: World. Music. Mario.
Mario Caldararu.  He is a young man with deep open eyes, soft voice and absolute sense of rhythm. Like all people who were born in the USSR he attended a musical school learning the piano.  His interest in drums appeared later. It is like the second wind of a skier. He played the piano for many years when his sense of rhythm, sense of melody and sensation of complete and many-sided world developed into interest in drums. Every second boy is interested in drums and every first one – in cars. But people who have both sides are few and far between.  When Mario was carried away by drums he made his first instrument by himself.  And he does it up till now. His unique hand-made drum set was made according to his technology: skilled hands, love for work and zeal.
Such gifted men are expected to have a place for penal servitude in Russia. They say that they’d be better to hack at trees or to brick rather than to strum on the guitar. If you are a man who is not a slender but talented in a sphere of subtle matter, you would never avoid a test of severe prophecy “You should plough virgin soil”. But reality ease is only an illusion. Drum making may be compared with efforts spent to metal, cast iron or high quality steel production.  It is both hard and difficult. Processing technique is known to producer only. That’s why each instrument is unique. And as for master’s hands they are another way to music.
Either a man elicits music from his lungs and admiring we rush to the opera or concert of a pop singer, or he creates music reality with physical flesh – with Hands. The Hands are like a musical conductor.  That’s why we tell not only about biology but talent too.
If you went through catharsis so a musician played for you. Catharsis is a state of amotivational joy. It is a state when overwhelming desire to applaud and to jump up appears. Ethno-music of Mario Caldararu works exactly so. You may experiment and check.
Mario feels nature. Little by little a man forgets this word. And he forgets not only a word but its meaning too. Cars, hardware, progress, electronic instruments, composer and sound modulators. We forget our real voices sounding without mobile phones. Often we focus only on ourselves, hear only our wishes and insist on them forgetting that there is a real palette of sounds and voices, a very interesting world of living souls. Mario’s music has one feature: it turns your attention to itself. It is very important. It is important to be able to hear, not just speak. Mario hears you. He hears the world and he speaks in language of sounds, harmonies, modes and melodies inviting you to hear music and unusual world that is not always simple but open.
